Dr. Vazquez began her advanced postgraduate training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in General Practice Residency in 2006. During this intensive program, she concentrated her training on the treatment of patients with special healthcare needs and medically complex conditions. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in comprehensive patient management and continues to influence the thoughtful and individualized approach she brings to her patients today.
Driven by an interest in periodontal health, oral reconstruction, and implant dentistry, Dr. Vazquez continued her specialty education at Boston University, where she completed her residency in Periodontology in 2009 while simultaneously earning a Master of Science in Oral Biology. Her graduate studies focused on inflammatory processes and their relationship to periodontal disease.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Vazquez brings warmth, authenticity, and a strong appreciation for family and culture to both her personal and professional life. She is fluent in English and Spanish and values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of dentistry, family is at the center of Dr. Vazquez’s life. She is married to Dr. Jan Ortiz, an orthodontist, and together they share a passion for dentistry, family, travel, and creating meaningful experiences with their two children, Zoe and Noah.
Much of Dr. Vazquez’s time away from the practice is happily spent traveling with her family and cheering from the sidelines at her children’s sporting events and tournaments. Whether traveling for a weekend competition or discovering a new destination together, she embraces these opportunities to be fully present in her children’s lives. Their family especially enjoys traveling and experiencing new places, cultures, traditions, and cuisines together.
For Dr. Vazquez, these experiences provide an important balance to her professional life and reflect many of the same values she brings to her practice: family, connection, excellence, and a genuine appreciation for people.
